| 210 g | Caster Sugar | |
| 1 tbs | Ginger | |
| 1 tsp | Bicardbonate of Soda | |
| 135 g | Butter | |
| 5 | Golden Syrup | |
| 1 | beaten egg | |
| 1 | orange - grated rind |
Method
Mix the flour, salt, caster sugar, ginger and bicardbonate of soda.
Melt the butter and golden syrup in a pan.
Combine the dry ingredients with the butter and golden syrup and add the beaten egg and orange rind.
Roll out into a sausage shape and cut into even sections. Roll into balls in the hand and place on a greased baking tray. Flatten slightly and bake for 15-20 minutes at 160C or Gas Mark 3.
