Method
- Place all the ingredients in the pan of the Panasonic Bread Oven keeping the salt and yeast apart.
- Use the Dough programme, on my oven it is 19 and takes 2h20.
- Use a flat pan of the sort used for cooking pancakes, lightly grease the rings and the pan, allow time for the pan and rings to warm over moderate heat.
- Pour the batter in the rings and cook until the crumpet is bubbling on top.
- Remove the rings and flip the crumpets.
- Allow to cool and can be stored in the fridge for a few days.
- Grill the crumpets and serve with lots of butter and home made strawberry jam.
