Almond Macaroons

 

Ingredients 

  • 250g of ground almonds
  • 250g of icing sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 30g plain flour

 Method  

  1. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks
  2. Mix in the almonds, flour and icing sugar
  3. Put a spoonful of mixture into a macaroon tray
  4. Allow to rest for 1 hour at room temperature, then bake for 10 minutes, and then rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Spread jam on a macaroon then cover with another macaroon
