Ingredients for Bramborové knedlíky

  • If you are in Czechia or know someone who lives there and is willing to buy and post then buy them in ready to make packets from Tesco and other shops.  Much easier and quicker than making them yourself.

  Method from Jiri Schneider

 
1. Mix the bag contents with 360-400 ml of cold water.
2. Knead well and allow to rest for 3 minutes.
3. Divide into 4 equal pieces.
4. Shape into 4 sausage shaped rolls with a diameter of about 6 cm. (I make them slightly thinner.)
5. Place into boiling salted water and cook for 15-20 minutes.
6. Slice each roll into about 7 pieces. (My mum taught me to do that with a yarn - much better result than with a knife.)
