Ginger Cake 1

Ingredients

  • 200g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100g butter
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 200g golden syrup
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 egg

Method

  1. Preheat a fan oven to 160°C.
  2. In a pan on low heat melt butter, syrup, and sugar.
  3. Mix dry ingredients and add the melted butter etc mixture.
  4. Add milk and a lightly whisked egg.
  5. Bake for 60 minutes until firm and sticky.  Clearly from the photo it needed a bit longer.
