Rhubarb and Ginger Gin

 

Ingredients

  • 1kg rhubarb
  • 2-3 cubes of fresh ginger peeled
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 800ml of your favourite Gin

 Method

  1. Wash and sterilis and dry some kilner jars.
  2. Wash and strim the stalks and cut into 3cm lengths.
  3. Put the rhubarb and giner and sugar into the kilner jars
  4. Fill to the top with Gin.
  5. Leave in a cool place for 2-3 weeks.  Leave longer if you want a stronger flavbour.
  6. If all you could find was green rhubarb then put a very small amount of red food colouring in the kilner jar.  Take car and you will have red paint.
