120 g | Soft Brown Sugar | |
1 egg | Beaten |
Method
This is the playgroup recipe. Melt the butter, treacle, syrup and sugar in a small saucepan. Sift the flour, salt and ginger. Make a well and pour in the melted butter mixture. Add the egg and mix to form a smooth dough.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes in a refrigerator.
Roll out to a quarter inch thick and use a Ginger Bread Cutter.
Bake on greased baking trays for 12 -15 minutes at 180C GM 4
You can decorate with icing or cherries or chocolate but frankly they never last long enough in my house to be decorated. There always seem to be some children around to eat them all up.
