Chocolate and Almond Pears Published: Thursday, 07 September 2017 14:56 Print Email Ingredients 6 red Bartlett pears, medium size 230 g. dark chocolate, melted 115 - 150 g. salted almonds, chopped Method If the pears are ripe and ready for eating otherwise use the recipe for pears in red wine but undercook them so they are still firm Place the chocolate in a bain marie or in a bowl over hot water. Allow to melt until smooth. If you get the temperature too high the chocolate will cook and spoil. Dip the pears in the melted chocolate and then into the chopped almonds.
