Peach Crumble

 

 Ingredients

6 large peaches, sliced (about 2 1 kilo)
50g brown sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
Pinch of salt

 Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190° C.
  2. Peel and slice the peaches and sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar immediately otherwise the peaches will start to go brown.
  3. Sprinkle on the remaining sugar, cinnamon, ginger and salt and carefully mix.

  5. Spoon the crumble over the peaches.
  6. Bake until the crumble is golden and the peaches are bubbling, 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream, double cream or custard.
