Boiling Quail Eggs

Ingredients

  • A pan of water 
  • Quail eggs at room temperature

 Method

  1. Boil the water
  2. Use a ladel to gently lower the eggs into the boiling water
  3. Boil the eggs for the given period and plunge into an ice bath of cold water
  4. Then peel away the shell

  Boiling Times

  • The white of egg is just set and the yolk very runny - boil for 2 minutes
  • Soft boiled yolk - 2m30
  • Good cooked white but the egg is a little soft - 3m
  • Hard boiled white and yolk 3m30
