Ingredients | ||
half tsp | Salt | |
Freshly ground black pepper
quarter tsp | French Dijon Mustard
pinch | Sugar | |
1 tbs | White wine vinegar
2 tbs | Olive Oil |
Method
Place all the ingredients in a jam jar and shake well. This makes a light salad dressing but it can be thickened with more Dijon Mustard and I like crushed garlic.
Do not store in the refrigerator as it tends to separate.
Barnsley folk were never ones for salad dressings preferring their salad plain and simple. Eventually I persuaded my mother to try this and she never looked back after she had tasted it. Dressings were firmly on the menu for that day.
