Apple Halura

 

Ingredients

  • Bramley Apple Sauce
  • sugar
  • sliced almonds
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1.4 tsp cardamom
  • plain yoghurt
  • Calvados

Method

  1. If you have a supply of Bramley Apples then peel and core then slow cook in a thick bottomed pan until soft.  Add sugar to taste and continue to cook until golden.
  2. I always keep some Apple Sauce in the Freezer.
  3. Mix in the cinnamon, nutmeg and caramom and taste and Calvados to taste.
  4. Layer the bottom of the glass with natural yoghurt
  5. Carefully spoon on the apple mixture.
  6. Decorate with sliced almonds.
  7. Refrigerate for a couple of hours.

I made this for our monthly Indian Curry night.  It was very much enjoyed after the heat of the curry.
