60 g | Margarine | |
90 g | Caster Sugar | |
2 tbs | Golden Syrup | |
few drops | Vanilla Essence | |
120 g | Self Raising Flour | |
60 g | Porridge Oats | |
To decorate | icing sugar | glace cherries |
Method
Melt the lard, margarine, sugar and golden syrup in a pan and allow to cool a little. Add to the vanilla essence, flour and porridge oats.
Roll out to a quarter inch thick and cut into shapes. Spread on a greased baking tray and bake at 190 C, GM 5 for 20 minutes.
