Anzac Biscuits

anzac biscuits

 Ingredients 2 tbs Golden Syrup
120 g Margarine
120 g Plain Flour
200 g Brown Sugar
80 g Rolled Oats
95 g Desecated Coconut
1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
1 tbs Hot Water

Method

Mix all the ingredients together and roll into a sausage.  Cut into even pieces and make into balls.  Place the balls on an greased baking tray.

Bake at 180C, GM4 for 15-20 minutes.

Notes indicate that this was a recipe from Elsie Drake taken on 22nd April 1979

I cannot remember my mother making these but father seemed to make them as he grew older.
