Oatmeal - how to cook to make Porridge

 

Ingredients

  • 40g medium oatmeal
  • 285 ml water or milk or milk/water

Method

  1. place 40g of Oatmeal in a pan and mix well with 285ml  liquid
  2. heat over a moderate to low heat
  3. stir continuously until the porridge comes to a boil
  4. simmer over a low heatfor 6-8 minutes
  5. for a smoother texture soak the ingredients overnight and then just bring to the boil and simmer for 4-6 minutes
