Chickpea Pancakes

 Ingredients

  • 460g Chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 500 ml water

Method 

  1. mix the dry ingredients and then add the water and whisk well until smooth
  2. heat a frying pan until a small droplet of water sizles
  3. place a lilttle oil in the pan and allow to heat
  4. pour a quarter of the batter into the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown then flip over and cook the other side for another 5-6 minutes
  5. cut away the crisp edges by using a plate or large pastry cutter
  6. serve with your desired topping or toppins

Some ideas for toppings:  Salsa, avocado, hummus, cashew cream
