Hot water pastry

 

Ingredients 

  • 200ml water
  • 200g butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 500g plain flour

 Method 

  1. put the butter and water in a pan and warm until melted

  2. spin the eggs in a liquidiser

  3. put 500g plain flour in a bowl, I use the Kenwood Major

  4. pour in the spun eggs

  5. pour in the warm butter / water mix

  6. add the salt

  7. use the K beater to produce a good dough

  8. wrap in cling film and place in a refrigerator for at least one hour
