Method
Sift the flour and the soda into a bowl and mix in the oats. Dissolve the butter, sugar and syrup in the water over a low heat and stir into the dry ingredients.
Put teaspoons of the mixture on a well greased baking sheet leaving room for the biscuits to spread.
Bake on the top shelf of the oven at 200 C, GM6 for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool for a few seconds and then transfer with a slice or palette knife to a wire rack to cool.
A popular favorite with my father as he needed his oats!
