Ingredients for a 20cm tart

  • 62.5g crushed cream crackers
  • 50ml  melted butter
  • 40g    sugar

Ingredients for a 23cm tart

  • 75g crushed cream crackers
  • 75ml  melted butter
  • 55g    sugar

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 190C, 375F
  2. Either crush the crackers in a polythene bag or use a food processor.
  3. Mix all ingredients together.
  4. Using a tarte mould press the mixture onto the base and into the sides  of the mould.
  5. Cool the tarte in a refrigerator.
  6. Cook in the oven for 20minutes.

Now you have the tarte you need a filling.  Try this one which is tarte aux citron (lemon tarte)
